Municipality responds to water pressure problems in De Kelders

Pressure loggers will be installed on the water network in De Kelders to determine the average pressure in the system during the first week of September.

Overstrand Executive Mayor, Dr Annelie Rabie, said this decision was prompted after several residents in the De Kelders suburb experienced water losses due to pipe breaks on their properties.

The service provider who was appointed to install the pressure loggers, will generate a report over a two-week period and present their findings to the complainants in October to the relevant community members as requested.  The projected cost of this exercise is R159 431 VAT exclusive.

The public will be notified later of the exact date, time, and venue of the intended engagement.
